About Me

I am the author of the book Gratitude and Goals, which will be available in the U.S on May 4, 2010. I am excited to announce that best-selling author and the godfather of goal setting, Paul J. Meyer, penned the Foreword for my book just one month prior to his passing. I am so blessed! So all those who are a fan of him, you’ll want to check it out what this amazing man had to say about my book when it becomes available.

I love personal development (books, seminars, courses, magazines, authors, travel, etc.). In the words of the great Abraham Lincoln, “I don’t think much of a man who is not wiser today than he was yesterday.” I believe in the power of life-long learning, especially when it comes to learning how to be a better person, so much so that I founded The Personal Development Book Club of America (PDBCA) and The Personal Development Book Club of Canada (PDBCC).

At present, we have 3 local chapters: Los Angeles, San Francisco and one in the Toronto area, and counting! I am also currently in the process of working on a website for both book clubs so that our members will have a place to connect with one another and support each other’s journal of personal growth and wellness.

In my spare time I (you guessed it!) love to read non-fiction books. I also love to write, watch movies (mostly dramas, dramedies and comedies), hang out with my family and discuss spirituality with other like-minded individuals. I just joined a group of local improvers (that’s improv-ers) so ensure I take time to let loose and laugh every week. I am really looking forward to starting with them next week! I highly recommend improv for everyone from kids, to housewives to Fortune 500 executives. It’s a great way to be honest with your true self. I mean, if barking like a dog in front of fifteen strangers isn’t pure honesty, I don’t know what it is. And boy, is it fu-un!

I’m also quite busy each day volunteering at my kids’ school, teaching art or reading with the kids. I even gave them a talk about gratitude last Thanksgiving. I also like to research the latest fitness, nutrition and marketing trends. And ever since reading Malcolm Gladwell’s book Outliers, I have really become quite interested in math. Strange, huh! I suck at it, but would like to become at least as affluent as my 6 year old son one day.

Oh, I almost forgot…I’m also pretty good at cooking Indian food! It’s healthy, cheap and simple to make. Keep checking the Latest Blog Posts category where I will occasionally add new, easy to follow recipes.
